A Gnomish Elf Portal or door, allowing Gnome-entry to the World of Humans ~ with 'Evie' the 1" Mouse waiting to cross the Realm Threshold back into Elf World ~
Sculpted with Prosculpt polymers, painted with heat-set paints and sealed with lacquer with a metallic painted door. A traditional Gnomish Elf Portal, allowing this tiniest of Mice to return to Elf World. This Portal in stone surround is just 1+1/2" high, Evie is 1" long, permanently fixed in place.
This is a 'one of a kind' creation having been entirely handmade without the use of moulds here at my studio on the Sussex Coast. Modelled with Prosculpt polymers and metal embellishments.
About the Artist:
Ann Galvin is a professional multi-media artist with thirty years experience. After studying Sculpture and Ceramics, she began her professional career as a freelance illustrator. She later returned to modelling in clay, polymers and cold porcelain. She has exhibited widely at exhibitions and galleries and is a member of the East Sussex Guild of Craftworkers. Her work has been featured in Dolls House and Miniature Scene Magazine~ www.dollshousemag.co.uk ~ and can be seen at East Dean Village Hall every Wednesday morning ~ call in to visit the Gnome Village ~
