Step into Elf World and meet 'Esmae' the Dragon Whisperer Gnome being embraced by her puppyish Dragon 'Folie' ~

Esmae is a Mistress Dragon Whisperer, training all the tiniest winged 'sprogs' before they can cause firey havoc ... here she is with 'Folie' wrapping her in a huge hug ... 'steady, steady Folie ... you nearly knocked my hat off ...'

This is a 'one of a kind' creation having been entirely handmade without the use of moulds here at my studio on the Sussex Coast. Modelled with my own unique blend of clays over a stone core, painted with heat set paints before sealing with lacquer, Esmae has beautiful lilac glass eyes. She has soft mohair hair and a final dusting of blush. Folie the Dragon has wrapped his leathery wings around her and has his chin on her shoulder. Esmae the Dragon Whisperer Gnome is four and a half inches tall and features a natural beach-stone body. Her hand is affectionately holding Folie's snout ...

About the Artist:

Ann Galvin is a professional multi-media artist with thirty years experience. After studying Sculpture and Ceramics, she began her professional career as a freelance illustrator. She later returned to modelling in clay, polymers and cold porcelain. She has exhibited widely at exhibitions and galleries and has been a member of many Sussex collectives. Her work has been featured in Dolls House and Miniature Scene Magazine~ www.dollshousemag.co.uk ~ and can be seen in permanent exhibition at The Old Loom Mill Craft Centre, Hailsham, Sussex ~ call in to visit the Gnome Village ~
