Vegetarian Vampyre 'Myrtle' with Vitamin D3 OOAK Sculpt by Artist Ann Galvin

Step into Elf World and meet 'Myrtle' the Vegetarian Vampyre, a new addition to the Woodlander series of characters by artist Ann Galvin of Elf World Creations.

Myrtle is possibly the only Vampyre in Elf World, a friendly and mostly harmless little character. She wouldn't dream of feasting on any of her elfling friends ... so, although she is unable to face the sunshine, she supplements with Vitamin D3, instead of the more usual product and everyone is happy!..

Myrtle has been sculpted with my own blend of polymers, painted with heat set paints and sealed with polyurethane. She has beautiful, silver glass eyes and tiny pointed teeth (which are never used for biting) and is a 'one of a kind' creation having been entirely handmade without the use of moulds here at my studio on the Sussex Coast. She is just over four inches high seated on a fly agaric toadstool with a large clay jar of vitamins close to hand. All components are fixed in position.

Myrtle the Vegetarian Vampyre will be accompanied by a photo authenticity certificate signed by the artist.

About the Artist:

The designer of this piece is a professional multi-media artist with thirty years experience. After studying Sculpture and Ceramics, she began her professional career as a freelance illustrator of children's books. She later returned to sculpture, modelling in clay, polymers and cold porcelain. She has exhibited widely at exhibitions and galleries and has been a member of many Sussex collectives.
